Oweboard reads email threads you explicitly connect (Gmail, read-only scope) and uses AI to extract commitments — who owes what, by when — into a private ledger visible only to you.
With your consent, the Gmail gmail.readonly scope: message text and headers within your chosen sync window. We do not ingest attachments. We cannot send, delete, archive, forward, or modify your email — the scope makes it technically impossible, not just contractually promised.
OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). Raw email bodies and tokens never appear in logs. Email content is processed by Anthropic's Claude API solely to extract commitments; it is not used to train models (per Anthropic's commercial API terms). Every AI claim links to a verbatim quote from your own mail — no proof, no claim.
Oweboard's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, for security, or to comply with law.
Settings lets you delete synced email data, AI summaries and commitments, or disconnect Gmail entirely (which deletes everything, including tokens) — instantly, no support ticket. Revoking access from your Google Account settings has the same effect on our ability to read anything.
Never auto-send email. Never sell or share your data. Never use your mail to train AI models. Never keep data you asked us to delete.
